Dr. Michelle J. Auerbach is a native of Watertown, NY. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Neuroscience and she went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine, in 2009. Medical residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology led Dr. Auerbach to Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Dr. Auerbach’s New York ties brought her back to central New York when she joined AWM in 2013 and is a partner/owner.
She is a board-certified OB-GYN by the American Board of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Auerbach currently serves as the chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Dr. Auerbach’s passionate care for women has included healthcare ranging from contraception management, obstetric care, surgical procedures, to managing and caring for perimenopausal and menopausal women. Though Dr. Auerbach has enjoyed caring for women in all stages of life, her practice is now limited to Gynecology with a focus on perimenopausal/menopausal women as well as minimally invasive surgery. She performs both robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.
In addition to her interest in nutrition and exercise, Dr. Auerbach enjoys an active lifestyle including running, biking, strength training, skiing, and hiking. She resides in Marcellus, New York with her husband and two children.
